High Backed Boosters
High-backed boosters provide a crucial transition, expertly positioning the vehicle's 3-point seat belt across the strongest parts of a child's body - the pelvis and shoulder - rather than the soft abdomen or neck.
Beyond belt alignment, these seats offer a protective shell with deep side-wings designed to shield the head and torso in the event of a collision. While some models are legally approved for use from 15kg or 100cm, it is widely recognized as best practice to delay the move to a booster until a child is at least 5 years old, 105cm tall, and 18kg.
This ensures they have the physical maturity to sit correctly for the duration of every journey. Most high-backed boosters will then continue to provide essential head and impact protection until the child reaches 150cm.
